Shiny Leggings
Welcome to Shiny Leggings. Well as you all know if you have not been living in a cave for the past ten years or so, you have seen the fashion icon known as leggings. These things have made a stronger come back than anything you could imagine and they show absolutely no signs of slowing down either. We are here to help teach you a little about the history and what to look for in leggings to make sure that you get the best deal you can possibly get. We will also review and go over other styles of leggings aside from the shiny ones so you can decide which ones are best for you.
Ten years ago, if you would have asked me if I would ever wear shiny leggings I would have laughed in your face and told you no! That all changed not too long ago and I am really glad that it did. You see most of us have this thought of shiny leggings being something that belongs in the 1980’s! What happened to me was a big shock!
My best friend called me one day and asked me to be her maid of honor at her wedding. She has had this thought in her head since she was a child that at her wedding that she and her ladies maids would all be in shiny leggings under short skirts that were all in different colors. I prayed that she had changed her mind, and then she presented me with the out fit that she wanted me to wear. I just about fell out of my chair. It was pair of black shiny leggings, a short purple skirt and a black top. I tried to reason with her. That if this were the 80’s then this would look great but this just wasn’t going to do it. So we made a deal, after the wedding I could change for the reception.
She really did make a beautiful bride and everyone being in the shiny leggings didn’t look as bad as I thought it would. After the wedding I went to change into a great pair of slacks and a nice top. My slacks turned out to have a huge tare in them so I ended up wearing the shiny leggings and the top that I had brought with me. When I came out of the bathroom everyone was in shock!
Never in my life had I ever gotten that many compliments at one time. Everything from a general “you look great” to the comments about how thin I looked and how great my legs were and so on. After spending several hours in the shiny leggings I started to like them and by the end of the night I knew that I loved them! The shiny leggings really made everything about me look a bit smaller. About a week after her wedding I went shopping and I bought myself two more pairs of the shiny leggings in silver and in purple. I have been wearing them with everything from long shirts to under skirts.
I guess that you could say that my best friends wedding really brought out the shiny leggings lover in me and I will never think anything bad about them ever again! I am so happy that she choose her 1980’s theme that she had always dreamed up because it has really brightened up my wardrobe and made me so happy!
